IoT – based Robot for Medical Assistant and Teleconsultation

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to the way clinicians interact with patients, implementation of measures like personal protective equipment, social distancing, and triage facilities. These aim protect healthcare professionals minimize transmission infection. However, despite these precautions, medical personnel still face a high risk exposure, leading shortage essential workforce during pandemic. To address this challenge, assistant robots controlled by are introduced enable dynamic evaluation process within hospitals. telehealth systems mounted on robotic platforms, allowing them move between rooms, or wards in hospital setting. By utilizing temperature sensor pulse-oximeter sensor, robot examines vital signs such as skin temperature, pulse rate, blood oxygen saturation patients. Whenever any levels deviate from normal range, system promptly notifies management provides required triaging assistance. Additionally, scans patient's RFID card schedule an appointment clinician, streamlining entire through responsive application.
